The Axamer Lizum has a lot to offer. There are six ski routes for freeriders and touring skiers, the Golden Roof Snowpark for all freestylers, a black slope for advanced skiers and for all beginners there are some blue slopes on offer. The new Hoadlbahn takes winter sports enthusiasts from the parking lot at 1,558 m up to the Hoadl-Haus at 2,340 m in just 6 minutes. Since the old chairlifts took much longer to reach the top, this innovation creates an enormous upgrade and offers a second possibility to get from the valley to the highest point of the ski area without changing trains, in addition to the legendary Olympic funicular. Our legendary After Snow Party with the infamous Hot Bull will take place this time in the Almbar, which is only a few meters away from the bus parking lot.

Their merger catapulted them into the top league of Alpine spots and they now form the largest contiguous ski area in Graubünden. 225 kilometers of slopes, 2 snow parks and 4 marked freeride runs not only sound extremely tempting - the ski area is awesome. In the morning, the sun-covered slopes on the Arosa side are recommended first, before you take your turns on the Lenzerheide side in the second half of the day. With the Grischlodge we have found another accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the cable car, which is why there is no need for a bus transfer on Sunday morning on this weekend trip and everyone can organize their time according to their personal taste. In addition to the convenient location near the Heimberg lift, the hotel can still score with outdoor whirlpool and sauna. But our Lenzerheide weekends are always culinarily grounded with an all-you-can-eat raclette dinner on Saturday evening, where the Swiss national dish is traditionally prepared by the local alpine cheesemaker.

The season is coming to an end and of course we want to celebrate it in LAAX. If you haven't made it to the center of the European freeski and snowboard scene with us yet, we recommend our last two trips of this season. Daytrip on Saturday? Or rather the whole weekend with an overnight stay at the Hotel Laaxerhof, right next to the cable car? You have the choice between Laax or Flims, breakfast or half board, piste or park. No matter what you decide, it will be a weekend at its best.
